TEISERHOF - A TRADITIONAL TOURIST ACCOMODATION
The Teiserhof was opened 1966 by Julia and Alois Volgger as a small restaurant.
The children, Marianne, Frieda, Paula and Karl all worked and helped in their parents' business. In 1972, Karl took over the running of the hotel, opened the restaurant and had the wood panelled dining room built.
A big renovation in 1973 saw the first 6 guest rooms built, followed two years later by the construction of an outdoor pool. In 1977 Karl and his wife Hilde expanded the hotel to 24 rooms, and at the same time the recreation rooms and fireside lounge were built. One year later a small sauna area for guests was added. In 1994 the pool was rebuilt, together with the construction of a lawn and sun terrace. In 2004 the Volgger family again extended the hotel to 32 rooms. An underground parking garage and a lift were added. The sauna complex was also extended to include additional steam baths, a foot massage basin and a quiet room with waterbeds.
WAKE UP IN OUR FRIENDLY, SUNSHINE-DRENCHED ROOMS.
Our lovingly furnished, Tyrolean Style rooms feature a desk, usually a corner seating arrangement, satellite t.v., phone, room safe, balcony, bath or shower/WC.
The new, comfortable rooms on the 3rd floor offer you an especially impressive view of the surrounding Alpine scenery.
As the day draws to a close, you can gather around the grand open fireplace for a chummy nightcap, or talk about the exciting events you've planned for the next day with your friends. How about a glass of good wine on our terrace under the ancient nut tree as twilight creeps over the landscape?

The village of Tiso/Teis
Located on a sunny hill above the entrance to the valley, the village of Teis/Tiso has its own school and parish church, while the hamlet of Nafen/Nave is proud of its notable little church dedicated to St. Bartholomew. Chestnut trees, fruit trees, and grapes grow in this sunny area, which is protected against the wind.
Mineralogical Museum of Teis/Tiso - A World of Crystals
Teis/Tiso is also well-known because of its so-called "Teiser Geods" – i.e. hollow, fist-sized mineral nodules containing beautiful violet amethyst crystals. These geodes can only be found around the village of Teis.
